rofl I don't care that much...
I havent seen the final, I like the world cup or better...

I was used to like it because I thought it as a PURE and SINCERE version of local football wich is too much Hooliganish and money based.

But this time Korea paid a lot of money to arrive 4th... and don't tell me it's not.

    Ah... what money can make

I don't think it was money. I think FIFA just pulled a few strings to make sure the hosting country didn't look stupid by being put out of the competition at the start.

Some of the ref's decisions were just criminal in those Korea games.

    germany vs brisil?

brisil all the way in my books due to there my best team.

but if i did not like any of thoes to teams playing i would have to go still for brisil due to the fact that they didn't try to kill of half of the worlds population. eg. GERMANY............

Germany didn't try to kill half the world's population, a madman did. I know football get's people's nationalism up, but let's try to keep the racist remarks to a minimum.

As for my story, we watched the final (or grand finale) on Sunday morning on Univision, the local Spanish network, despite not being fluent at all. But you can't beat the raw emotion these guys have - I couldn't walk away from the screen because the announcer would work himself into a frenzy whenever a Brazillian player even touched the ball - I couldn't tell whether they were near a goal or just drinking water in a way that excited this guy. Then there were the 2 1/2 minute long cries of gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaa
    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
    !!!!!!

All in all a good game, especially since I didn't have a personal stake or ref to blame for bad calls, and a great guide explaining the basics of the game to me.

One of the channels in the uk shows argentinian football late nights sometimes. You're right, the commentaries are fantastic "GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!"

You could be pretty sure there were going to be no dodgy refreering decisions in the final once Collina got given the job, he's the best in the business

I'm glad I didn't bet on this world cup, about the only prediction I got right was Korea to get past the second round. I thought France or Argentina would win it. Couldn't have got that much more wrong

The baldy guy who refereed the final is a great ref. Heck, he should be a celebrity. He looks like a complete psycho (can't find pic)

The ref in the Italy vs Korea game was ecuadorian.

I think he made some stupid decissions, but Italy lost by themselves....they only played defense and never attacked....thay played lazy did nothing.

I think Brazil did move some money, FIFA means politics nowadays. But anyway, noone can deny they have a hell of a team!!!!!!!
