There's a player in Paraguay called Francisco Arce!
His jersey reads Chiqui Arce. Anyone know where to buy it?

    some SHOCKING news!!!

Joao Pinto is suspended for PUNCHING a referee... apparently there's a video...

A top British hairdresser is flying into Japan on a mission to re-style the trend-setting hair of David Beckham for Friday's World Cup showdown with Brazil.

Beckham's wife Victoria has sent an SOS to Aidan Phelan, David's personal hairdresser, after seeing the England captain's spiky mohican collapse into a bedraggled mop during England's rain-soaked game with Denmark, local media said.

"David has obviously been putting his football first... i seems that it needs a bit of a trim," Phelan was quoted as saying by the Guardian newspaper.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA im surprised he ever got into football in the 1st place... i wonder if he gets a manicure after a game too

Hey Aria and Jez - my commiserations about italy going out. I wasn't supporting them, but I know how gutted I am when England get knocked out, so I feel for ya.

phlegm_thrower you cheeky kiwi - you're obsessed with David Beckham !!! The poor guy - if he wants his hair cut then that's OK, it has been looking a bit shabby recently.

If we win the world cup then he won't need to get a plane home - he'll just walk across the water. Never mind knighting him, the Pope should canonise him.

"soccer" -- bah what's that? I refuse to acknowledge this name unless USA wins the World Cup. (that would definately be scary, I agree!).
Funny fact about this what-is-this-word ("soccer"):
When the first American people came from England, they wanted to be different. They created a sport (american football) and called it football to mock the english. They then called it Soccer, soccer only to see it as a joke because they wear long socks, ie. "Socker." They also created a simple version of cricket and called it baseball.

I missed the Extra Time though as I had to rush off for a meeting. Will have to watch the highlights.

I coach ball in the USA and never speak to my players in the terms of Soccer or Cleats!
We always lace up our boots before we head out on to the football pitch.
The game is beautiful in any language!

And by the way I think that the USA has a decent shot at the finals.

USA vs England what a match that will be!
