well, the Bush called coach "Arena" prior the press conference. The NY herald had it's issue delayed by hours just to bring the news up USA vs Mexico on the front page.

I think people DO care and it has already drawn interest. For it to draw more attention, the USA would have to win the cup.

but that was some damn fine american soccer if i do say so...

just a tiny bit we missed by. and dont say germany played better cause thats bs, they took advantage of a break and got the goal done, but america played the entire game 110 percent. the teams were very even.

Watched the game..almost cried when the US had that shot blocked by a hand on Germany

Not a big fan, but I support my country, it was great to see them try so hard, even if they didn't win it all.

well no, about "the hand" I watched it several times in slo-mo.

And the result: The hand (arm) was not moving anyways towards the ball. The ball approached the hand. Hence, correct decision.

Just to be fair, the ball did touch the hand, yes, but the hand did not move towards the ball. That's the rule.
If you hold up your arm during the game, and someone shoots at your hand being up in the air, it's not "hand".

Anyways, not going to try to offense anybody, on the same note: the referees decisions were justified by rule.

A good game, good fighting and the US played well and had their chances.
