I just heard that M. Jordan will start a football career now. After basketball, baseball and back to basketball, he will now bring the US of A to the next World Cup finals.

wasn't it the break after the us player stepped in the german players kidneys while laying on the ground?

It was the German who took down the American, it's not the american's fault then when trying to get up after being tackled you step on the jerk who tackled you.

damn i heard so much complaints about referee's decisions in this WC and some of them are justified...

why not the refs have a small flatscreen portable display unit so he can watch a replay before passing the judgement? the technology's there and that'll boost the accuracy of the decisions..

on another note... i found this little article... check it out...
While I’d be here forever trying to detail the wonderful services these volunteers provide, I can pinpoint one occasion that exemplifies their dedication to ensuring visitors are taken care of.

To cut a long story short, on my first night in Seoul, South Korea, I arrived at the International Media Centre five minutes after the accreditation room closed and found myself stuck at a strange place with no idea how to get to my far-off hotel.

A policeman I was endeavouring to communicate with calls over a volunteer who was on her way home.

Not contented with pinpointing my hotel on a map, telling me which train to take and which stop to get off at, Jenny (her English name), insisted on getting on the train, taking me to the station nearest my hotel, calling up her boyfriend who lives nearby and getting him to drive me the five or ten minutes down the road to drop me at the front door.

Such acts of generosity epitomise the wonderful nature of these people, casts a radiant light over their fellow countrymen and women and more importantly, their nation.
that's damn inspiring... that's the kinda thing i want my country to be famous for... if that's not World Class hospitality i dunno what is...

New World Cup Fan, Old-time Sports Fan

I'm new to the sport of soccer, and I didn't know it could as exiting as it did in this year's World Cup. It probably helps that me, being from the US, got to the final eight round, but it has opened up a new thing to watch for me.

I'm not going to sit her and pretend I'm some avid soccer fan who knows everything and stays up every night at 2 am to watch soccer. And I'm not going to pretend I watch soccer by throwing out mainstream, common names of players like Landon Donovan, that I've seen on Sports Center.

I am a sports fan, but I'm a long way from becoming a soccer fan.
