    i own a blue & white G3 400mhz and i was wondering if anyone else has run OSX on a blue & white G3? i want to upgrade but i want to know if it runs slow or anything.

    It should be fine.
    If anythng, the most important thing is RAM, and you might like to upgrade your graphics card after 10.2 comes out for even better performance

    thanks for the reply. i have 704MB of RAM so i'll be all set there but should i get a 32MB or 64MB graphics card?

    Might as well go for the best you can afford (preferably 64MB) as 10.2 has hardware acceleration (Quartz Extreme) that specifically takes advantage of high power GPUs.

    right now i do my hosting on a B&W 400... i think it's running Mac OS Server 10.1.4 right now...

    It runs great, no speed issues.. although if i shut it down... it does this funky thing where i have to open and close the case to get it to boot again...

    I think it has 600 and some megs of ram in it.
