Start up in Advanced Interface Fix is here

This has been bugging me for some time.. Since I always work in advanced interface for those that are like minded the following files will fix it so that when you create a new movie it will start out in advanced mode.

Also included is a minor fix to the javascript pull down menus. There where a couple of minor problems there. .play()was listed twice and the first one should have been .show()
and the playSound() insterted the wrong thing. This will fix this as well.

the archive was created with full pathnames and should put itself in the right directory if extracted to the drive you have 3dfa installed on. This assumes you didn't change the path names when you installed.

    Ultimatly they go into the
    Program Files\3D Flash Animator 3.51\interface\

    Now for the disclaimer!!!!
This patch is NOT endorsed by Insane tools
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! This works fine on my computer and if screws up yours you are on your own, don't complain to me. (of course it should work just fine)

    the file is at

    Awesome!!

Can we come to you now for support?

Excellent job Bret. I've installed the patches and they work just as expected. Now I can focus on the tasks and not the interface.

Just one question, would these changes also work for someone using an earlier version of 3dfa?

Not sure. The javascript one would obviously not do anything and I forget what version the advanced option was added.

Not a big deal and some of this will be in 3.6 as I understand it.

    Re: Re: Awesome!!

I tried it in v3.41 and it worked just fine.

This is how Plugins will work. I figured out how to add a an item to the list of actions next would be to figure out how to generate the action itself

I've added a patch to the text element as well. Now it defaults to Advanced mode as well.

We'll be distributing a pre-release version of 3.6 to our Beta testing team in the next few days.

Keep in mind, its a 'consolidation' version- a lot of work has been done on stability, performance and international languages, rather than new features, but it is definitely superior. As soon as we bed v3.6 down, we begin planning v4, which'll be feature-packed.

    Regards
