I'm a flash newbie, I produced a few sites and strongly need some professional opinions.
These sites were created using Swish 2.0.
Check Them Out. . .
http://www.MoonEnt.com (Having trouble with download time on this one, any suggestions would be appreciated)
http://www.FlzDezine.i8.com
Can anyone show me how to create a page where the user can click on a link and launch my Flash file in a small window without scrollbars or status. Is there a script I can use?
Also, what's better to launch the swf full screen or embedded in an HTML doc?
Sorry for all the questions, lol!!!
Thanx.

Man give me how you made that preloader

Both sites look pretty cool, for your second one, i suggest you put in some sound effects and a sound loop. I would suggest you use Pixel Font for both your site, the font looks stretched out horizontally a bit, making it seem deformed.
About the question relating to the window pop-up, you can find it at http://www.purifiedproductions.com , there are some great tutorials there and im sure youll find the tutorial you need.
And about your other question, wether to use the .swf, or .html, i had some trouble with this, but i decided to use the HTML because when you use the swf, it can deform your images, and makes Pixel font look blurred. So i suggest using the swf inside the html.

Ok, here goes......
Search on chromeless window for info on
how to create a page where the user can click on a link and launch my Flash file in a small window without scrollbars or status.
FlzDezine....nice Flash...Bad html site.
In general, I think it's best if you have a totally
flash site that you have an alternative html site.
But a mix of html with embedded flash is good.
Because - search engine do not index flash content.
there is nothing there for them to "see"... but with a mix
of html and flash, the search engines can read the sites
text content. You can always have a link to a total
flash site - so if the view wnats he/she can go there.
But you first need to get people to your site.
On moonent.com - can't give suggestions about size
unless I see the .swi file. If you created it in swish:
Open Swish then the file then click on "file", "test",
"report" .......... this will show you where the
bytes are for each frame of your movie. You can see
the large portions that may be the problem.

Wow, Thanks for your comments.
Devonte10- which preloader?
Firefuze- both sites do have soundfx as for sound loops,
only moonent.com has one at the moment. . .
Thanks for the info on the popup window's I'll check it out.
Good point on the swf vs. HTML thing, thanks.
Thanks for the advice on fonts.
Roland-
thanks, I agree with you on the HTML thing. That
was a ummm. . . good site gone bad. I intended to bring it down and redesign the whole thing but decided to stick with flash instead.

Both sites are well done. The first one is simple and to the point, but i like the second one more.
In the second one, my only problem with it was the menu, seemed to be a bit unprofessional.

Thanks for the compliment. I agree with you about the menu.
I was completely lost and didn't know what to do for navigation. One day I just started drawing circles. I am working on it though. Any Ideas?

Hey Devonte,
I'll need to see the .swi file, If you want I can create a preloader for ya' and send it back to you, so you can see how I did it.
You should also try the preloader tutorial that comes with swish.
It took me awhile but I finally got it. . .
