Dynamic text box, HTML problems

I am having some problems with the dynamic text box with HTML enabled. I need html on, but I don't want < to clear out the entire contents. The contents is sent from a PHP script, the PHP script does replace < and > to the HTML code, but Flash is reading the #60; and #62; as < and > respectively, therefore trying to make a tag. I'd like to keep the ability to use < and > as text, but if I have to I guess I'll just replace them with " ", but I don't want to :-\


EDIT: & taken off HTML code so it doesnt show as < and >

I explained it best I could, I want < and > to show as < and > in an html dynamic text box, rather than try to be a tag.
