I'm a beginner in Flash and am wondering how to compile my flash designs into a standalone executable file in a Windows environment.
Can anybody please refer me what tools/programs I need to use to accomplish this and what are the major functions of each program? Thank you.

Just go to the main menu>File>publish. Make sure you check the box to make an projector for windows in the publish settings tab in the file menu. Or you can just open the swf and click on file save as projector. Regards, Bill
