Hi...Does anyone know if its possible to hide .swf files as hidden or something on a CD im making ??

I have a variable called on each swf so if a user clicks on an swf he or she is not supposed to that they will be redirected...

But i dont want people to even see the swf files that get called by my movie...but have no business being looked at by the end user..

Any suggestions as to how to hide these .swf to keep out nosey end users ?

Or is there a standard ?

    Any help would rock
    Thanx !

Since you're working on the mac platform there are ways
to hide files via "disk editor" or "res edit" so they
won't be viewable via the macintosh finder. (OS-X ???)

On the windows platform it's different. Any file you hide
will be doubled in size. That's a small bug, they never
removed since Windows went 48 bit. It's also a full joke.

    Shouts.

The PC info ..was more of a joke ...as it was mentioned.
("It's also a full joke." ) ...sorry if you got it wrong.

But there should be 10 to 1 tools for pc vs mac but i really don't know.

Hideing file in PC is not much use. You can set the attribute to hidden but people can easily see them by setting window explorer to show hidden files.

If a person had the ability to peek at your swf, he 99.9% know how to show hidden file...

another way to confuse them is to name your swf as no meaning name and use other extension such as kdfoijas.afo or AB0001.dat, etc

I tried and can load them as usual in MX and flash 5.

Actually there is a way to completely Hide Files from the user on a PC, and it will be very hard for users to see them even experienced ones, and this function will be available in the Next Version of Flash 'N pack... it will give you the ability to completely hide your files form users and still be able to access them…. Directly from the CD…..

Hmmm....Will the next version of Flash-N-Pack be available by this monday ?

Cause thats when i need to produce this cd by... heh heh
I'll figure out a work around...I wish it was available now....youd have a customer...This CD is for Sanyo and it would be nice if it was as pro as possible ..

My work around will be to have each file call a variable from my root movie...No variable...No Play ...maybe just a message telling them which file they need to click on..

Naming all the files a random name is not gonna work at this stag in the game...

    Thanks for the feedback gang.....appreciated....
