Who cares about a stupid MP3 player.

Imagine a monster P4 system, with a dual boot, Win 2000, XP, etc. and Mac OSX!

read the articles. I'm talking about the MacOS.

I would be friggin' happy to have my dual AthlonMP systems, and my other systems in my network running MacOS X instead of WinXP. Or alongside my Win2k

I did read it, and the big news I see is they're talking about switching to an x86-based archtecture.

They woul still make thier own hardware, and say they would modify the bios so OSX will only run on Apple hardware.

    BUT

This means Mac hardware would be as cheap as PCs.

And although I was wrong with my original response, there is a good possibility that you could have a dual boot Mac, with some version of Windows as the other OS!

I'd dump both of my systems in a second to build one monster that will run both OSs.

Of course they are also saying that desktops are years off!

apple is taking the iPod a helluva lot further than something labeled as an mp3 player.

do you use your computer for just email?
