how do you create 3d text in 3dsmax

i'm totaly hopeles i cant figur out how i can create 3d text please help me .

Go to Shapes and select ABC (text)

After creating a general size of the text and typing the text of your choice in the dialog box to the right select extrude from the modify panel to nake the text 3d.

This should all be in the help menu.
