I am new to flash and using flash MX. I made a test movie today on my test site and I can't preview it other than in >control >test scene or >control >Play. I can't see it in >control >test movie. I've published it and put it on the website but can't see it there either. I think I am missing a step required to publish it as a swf. I have 2 layers, one is mask and the other is masked. It reads Wasteful Things (my test site) and has an oval in the mask layer moving across the letters in the masked layer to highlight them as it moves across. I've tried opening it up locally with the html file and also with the publish option. Do I need an action too? View the source @ http://www.wastefulthings.com
    Thanks,

You mean a tweened moving mask?
Try it as a fixed mask... And see!

okay, I found another tutorial, http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Te...25/index.shtml which gave me the desired effect. This guy used a completely different approach than the above tutorial. Any comments? The result is the same execpt the latter worked.
