only two complaints for you.

buttons look cheap with that muti colour over and over.

and side to side scroller has to go, there's nothing over there but for a 1024 resolution it's silly

other wise nice site, i hate flash and html mix but it's clean and consise.

Your site has A LOT of images, but for those people who own pets, and the like.. they usually fall under the I like lots of pictures category. Also, you don't have the freedom here to get all abstract and 3d and avante guard so.. I think you've got something here. The teal background is a bit hard on the eyes, especially along with the yellow. Maybe if you used a more subtle background color and used the teal and yellow as accent colors it would help.

I agree about the buttons as well, a bit on the irritating side. Those colors along with background colors makes it way too much.

I did like the cat running at the bottom. That's pretty cool. The side to side scrolling (has got to go). Also, you might try randomizing the images instead of putting them all on the screen at once.

Just some ideas...

if you made it flash like that for maybe 5 frames, stop and then end on a different colour then black it would ok (maybe) but stop the loop.

Good work only the butttons needs some improvement.
