Is there a way that QT mov files made from iMovie can be imported into Flash 5? I tried it and the video portion works, but there seems to be no sound....help please.

mx supports video other versions of flash dont. What is it you want to do...play the video in Flash?

convert to swf or sequences if that is the case.

you can only use a quicktime in flash 5 if you are going to choose link on import, and export as a Quicktime. Which is fine depending on what you want to do with it. At what point is there no sound?
you will be able to scrub through the movie on the time line, and see video, but you wont here any sound.
    Is this what you mean?
You will only hear the audio when you actually export it,
and you wont see anything if you export as a .swf (has to be exported as quicktime.

If you exported your SWF and there is no sound it could be that your source .mov has protected audio.
If you want to convert the video to Flash first, you can try out our software Flix which will let you convert your .mov to an importable Flash 3-6 SWF that will work in the Flash 5 authoring tool.

Your sound needs to be exported in your source file at 44.100kHz - 16bit - stereo - non protected. Make sure the "import audio" checkbox in Flash/Spark on import.
