I thought it was all about having a conversation about a subject?? And like any conversation, the talk can wander into other areas that derive from the gist of the conversation?

In other words, the intention is to start a new topic, not to meander around an existing subject.
I'm just trying to keep some continuity in the discussion.

For lack of a crown(tooth issue) I sit home to read today. What an incredible topic! Had I had the experience, qualifications to the tee, necessary for the position I now hold....I would not be here. Rather, my employer looked to my life, resume, and education to make a call. What he found was my ability to learn quickly, and to be very good at what ever it is I do.

I understand this may not work in all areas, but this line of all I have read in this thread stricks me the hardest...

The point I was making, which was completely missed is that papers and certs mean nothing and cannot compare to actual imagination, innovation and creativity.

...granted I have an education, masters even...but it has nothing to do with the field I am in now. It was "imagination, innovation" and my creativity.

I hope that 2advanced is open to exploration, I fear they they will receive only what they wanted....and they will find themselves looking for the imaginative, creative one which may be unlikely in the full package they do hire, where is the line that says...."imagination, creativity and ability to grow" in that list of "musts?"
