Laptop Woes

Hi I would like some help... I am designing a site which is goinn to be viewed mostly on laptops... Now the color scheme copletely changes on the laptop. What appears as a bright blue on the desktop, appears very very dull on the laptop. Is there a site or any material where I can have a look at the various color schemes that appear compatible on both the laptop as well as the desktop. Or is there any technique whereby it takes care of both kinds of displays.

It may be that color and gamma settings are different on each machine. If you are using 24 bit color on your PC and only 16 bit on the laptop that will cause the difference in colors. You will not be able to control what other people have though.

Use web safe colors only when creating your website.
