I would like to know how the following were achieved in the title bar of this website:
    http://www.netadvisor.co.uk/balmoral/index.html

I would like to create a top header similar to the Balmoral Consultants one which includes photographs blended in with each other. I presume it is a masking effect but I would like a step by step explanation how to achieve it in Fireworks.

The other point is, how to get the effect of the grey bar mouse over. Is it done with a CSS. Any clues would be most appreciated.

mike, i think he/she means not the menu, but the title graphic...
you just have to play a round with cuiing the images up and blending them together... loos like they blurred it a bit, and adde a line pattern fill on a top layer... not sure exactly, but i think if you played with the idea you'd get it.. (it REALLY depends on the images you are trying to use!)

    Guys,

Thanks for your help. I did mean the top header and the way that they were "faded and blended in together".
I do not have Photoshop but Fireworks and I do not know if that effect is possible with Fireworks.
I will have a play around and search for a tutorial in FW.

    Thanks again...Gracust
