first of all i would like to say how cool my trig class/teacher was last year
-no homework, easy tests, -most of the time doing math on scantrons that doesnt matter how many you got wrong

-but even though i did great on state trig standards tests, im not confident with my ability in trig due to the relaxed trig class i had

now im in a very advanced calc class and im afraid that my lack of trig knowledge is going to catch up with me -should i be worried?

Hey If you think your trig is a weakness, work on it until it is a strength.

You have been clever enough to realise you need to do something, it would be shame if you now did nothing and failed your calc course.

Go to the library, there should be plenty of books on trig or with a trig section.

    Good Luck

    i think im in luck

well because of my tangled classes i got a new calc teacher who seems alot more easy than my previous
-and im very on top of things as far as whats currently being taught (even though we havent touched trig stuff yet)

i also think i greatly underestimated by trig ability in this post

related trig... we also need to learn that soon (we've got to it in our course, but the teacher has gone to get a leg operation ). It's off to the textbook for me

It depends on what kind of calculus you are taking. Business calculus? Calculus with transcedental functions? In business calculus you don't deal with trig much. Calculus with trascendental functions you do very much. If you happen to take a calculus class that deals with trig functions, then you better know trig. It's very important.

BTW, scantron math tests are, in my opinion, the worst type of math tests you can take. It's better to prove what you know by showing your work. Besides, when you get your test back you can see where you went wrong.

    Good luck in calc!
