You'll need two images - a paint drop and a paint splat.
Move the drop down and then replace it with the splat image. Adding a splat sound at that frame adds to the effect.

Alien,
Thank you but not something I designed from scratch. Isn't it wonderful what a little clipart and sound can do

It's more wonderful knowing how to use them to create something like that.
Oooops, going off topic....
So, before this thread gets closed, wonder if that effect will work in NS?? HeHeHe.

Lisa to my rescue
This is great! Decided against using it. Was wanting more of the paint drip that drips down and colors the letters of a clients name. Does that make sense?
Anyways, great effect.

Just change the image at the end of the drop to a coloured letter and repeat for all the letters in the name. Will work just fine.

You can also convert your text to shapes, merge the shapes and use that as a mask in a sprite. Then you can have your letters "fill up" with paint by sliding the color in from the bottom while having the drips falling down.

Thanks
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I do like the idea of filling the letter up.
