Editing individual pieces of a group without undoing the animation...

    Hey everyone...

I've worked out this scene in Max where I have a Group of items animated. Animation's perfect. Unfortunately, I need to go back into the group and add a modifier to one of the objects.

The only way I know how to add a modifier to one of the objects is to ungroup them, and once I ungroup them the animation I've put together will disappear. Surly there must be some way to make the change I need to make to the individual object without sacrificing my animation, right? How should I go about making the change? Thanks a ton,

    Joe

Click group at the top and then click open. This will allow you to edit an object within the group while still keeping it grouped. It's also good practice to close the group once you have done what u need to do
