Any comments or suggestions (Tear it apart!)

Hello! I've just about finished a redesign. Please let me know what you think, or if something doesn't work right...your specs, too if that's OK (connection spd, OS, etc)

Well at first glance this site looks great with the flash loading bar and the percentage but there are also a few problems with it.

The pop up window makes it look more like an add than a site and can put people off with such an extended screen without the toolbar.
I also noticed that there is not really much to the main site at all. There seems to only be only 6 or 7 pages. Theicons down the bottom look good but there is no real way of finding out what they are until you click them. You should put some side text to display what the button will show.
I wont comment on the music as so many people had a different sense of do's and dont's with that.
The one thing that did look good and I found fun was the fact that you could change the background color to suit your tastes so that one should stay on there.

    Overall Rating: 6/5
    Bonus Rating: 1

Conclusion: This site if expanded with a few tweaks could become both attractive and eye catching.

    Updates made

Thank you for your feedback. I just installed the pop-up killer software, and was debating about the new window feature myself. Anyway, I've added mouse-over descriptions to the road-sign links...and kept everything in the same window, obviously.
For content I guess I'll just have to scrounge...I dunno, are personal pics OK for a business site? I've noticed that quite alot here on FK...

Well I have found that it helps to give free samples so you could do a free section to encourage people to purchace from your site.

    Derek,

Heres my pennies worth. I like your site. The only thing
I need to comment on is the text on the "who we are" etc pages.
I can hardly read what you are saying. There is not enough contrast
between the text and the backgrounds. I would also get rid of the
hyphenation on any of the words. I know they are only small points
but I always think that it is the attention to the details that
give you a more professional image.

Thank you again for telling me what you think. Yes, I do seem to have a problem with digging up content for my personal site. Redhot: I decreased the transparency of the mask behind the text, so it is now easier to read. AFA free stuff goes, do you mean like Wallpaper & screensavers? I hope after these updates it will be "eye-catching & appealing"!
    Thanks again.

I think the layout and desing is really original, and the only thing that i think needs to be done is some more content for your portfolio. but other than that great site!

Agree with most of the other comments,
one minor technical itch, the pull down doesn't retract when you leave with the mouse from the top. I think it's supposed to leave when you're not pointing at it, right?

For the rest, very appealing design...exactly how I like it
Oh yeah one last thing, I saw you used verdana, why not try using it aliased? Think it looks much better that way!
