Creating Simulations in Flash
Hi everyone,
I am involved in a project where we intend to create multi-player e-learning simulations. We are currently doing this in C++, but are excited about the new possibilities that have arisen with Flash MX and are wondering whether this is now the best product to create our simulations.
I need to know how easy it is to have a client-side application developed in Flash to interface with a server-side object orientated database. Also, I'd like to know Flash's capabilities (and perhaps the limits of these capabilities) to do complex calculations on entered variables. We intend to have multiple users, up to 2,000-3,000, logged in at a time, so we need to know how much this will affect the server speed under this model of development.
Thanks for your help,
Kind regards,
Tasha

Can just imagine if you did figure this out - prior to Minecraft - the VRML you were into and prior to Roblox - the CAD you were always working on.... I saw a rendering of an architectural drawing the other day it took seconds to move the sun to the east with beautifully wrapped objects --- I am sad corporate got you and kept you for so long, I'm sorry Macromedia folded and left you with out a canvas.
Just a little love note to my bight-eyed self, everything turned out ok in the end but I did miss twenty three years playing with my "work" in my "sandbox".
Kind Regards,
TashaLynn 2025
