    golden web awards....

well... anyonew/ 30 bucks could be a member of golden web awards, in order to win, you need votes,
so you polute your site w/ banners for people to vote for ya, and you go on Forums asking people to vote, so.. they voted for you, now what ? does that make you any better of a designer ? NO,
did your site get "reviewed" by judges and Chosen to be the winner ? NO....

what it does is it gets the attention of the "OTHER" viewers, like the first time web surfer... the dumb ones, (oooooh look theyve got an award! ) and the likes..

    hello praitie,

The splash page, as timoy said, should not nedd any loading. It looks a bit cluttered as well.

The intro was "smooth" but a bit boring i must say. The site was lagging very bad for me also. I dont think it went slow for anyone else because i did not see anyone else mention it.

The menu is cool, but it went so slow(like the frame rate was 5!) maybe it is just my computer

The way stuff comes in is sweet and i like the moving stuff in the box. the background is cool too. I didnt hear any music when the site came up either.

    just my thoughts,
    Justin

LMAO... I tried to visit the site with a 350MHz PII computer. It WAS NOT a good sight... hahaha

However, worked amazingly smooth on a 2.8GHz P4.

    Great.. great GREAT WORK!

Because a site is animated does not make it kiddie.

The reason swish and flash stores files as movie.swf is because that's what it is a movie. This is the reason for frames/timeline in the first place.

    Look at msn ads.

Personally I really liked the presentation.
    A few observations.

Although the white flashes were a bit distracting a subtle light blue would have been functional with out being overt.

The menu instead of constantly bringing in menu items with a fresh move the menu items should simply change the display area. (constant slide ins for profile/services/etc)

    All in all nice work.

PRELOADER- A bit boring, the effects dont really roxers by boxers.
INTRO- Oh man thats so sweet. **dribbles**
TEXT- I dont think you should use effects to place the text, it looks ammature-ish.

Overall it's good but there is too much movement and it threw me off a little bit

    SENOWORKS:

Thanx for the favourable comments and feedback. Actually, I have been working with Flash/Swish just over a year now. But computer arts have always been my passion. Stay tuned for version 5 which will be launched soon. I am pulling out all the stops on this one....

Your site concept is pretty clever, I like it, and as you refine it -it will be become a true master piece. Choose a different sound loop....you can get many here on FK. If there are any thing I can help you with, just drop me a line.

    Happy holidays

    Clouds

    Hey ya'll!

I know it's kind of late to be gettin' in on the action. But Praitie I just wanted to tell you that I love your site! I have been trying to do the same clouds effect. Could you please tell me how you did it and in Swish2?

I truly like the look and feel of the site. Just one issue, I really do not like it when programmers and designers hijack or completely take over my browser by eliminating my presets, my button and toolbar selections and the like.

I do understand that it takes quite a bit of effort to program, and that you made a concious effort in doing so, however, I must say that when I venture throughout the web, I want the sites I visit to stay within the borders I expect it to stay within. If you would like to take over my browser window, a little warning or even a polite request would render a verdict in your favor.

As of fan of the Outer Limits, and further development and exploration of what is possible, I do not look to stimy your efforts, just let me know before hand if you are going to control
    my horizontal, or my vertical.

    Again, nice site.
