Simple file. No animations. Just the number 2 with some chrome effects. When I go to export it in .png format, I get the swift v3 has generated errors and is creating a log file b popup and swift shuts down?
the only way I could reproduce this was with a deep bevel on a font that had a ton of points... the grungy type of fonts have a tendency of producing SUPER amounts of polys, and in my case, finally a crash.
what font, what build number of Swift3D are you using? that would help others attempt to recreate what you are experiencing.
Thats the funny thing. Its just the number "2" with some of the chrome effects on it. When I try to export it to png with quality set to the higest, it crashes or produces a file that isn't recognized by any of my programs, even PS nad Frieworks MX...
Weird. Haven't saved it yet before I exported it, so I don't have the file.
this happens with any object, but it seems to be localized to the chrome effect
if you want to follow along, here's how:
1. open swift3d (if it's already open, close it and reopen)
2. new object (try a cube for the quickest render)
3. toggle material drop surfaces to all surfaces
4. drag&drop ER Raster - Chrome from the metal library onto your text
5. switch to preview & export editor
6. select raster for your output option
7. select png as your target file type
8. generate selected frames
9. export selected frames
10. click save
11. crash
