>>> 3Ds MAX <<<
how do i import jpegs so i can use them as material in 3ds max?
thx in advance

• open up max if it already isn't
• Hit 'M' to bring up the materials editor
• With one of the spheres already selected, look under the 'Blinn Basic Parameters' heading.
• Find the word 'difuse'. Next to the word is a grey rectangle from which you can pick colours, and next to that grey rectangle is a 3d box type thingy which you can press. Press it
• Pressing this will bring up a dialogue box from which you can pick maps (or whatever they're called...something like filters in Photoshop). Pick the one that says 'Bitmap' - its near the top
• once this pops up, find your image. now your image will be on the sphere.
To apply the material to an object, either:
• drag it onto your object, or
• find the button that says "Assign Material to Selection" (3rd button from the left in the material editor under the spheres)
hope this helps
