White or Black Background

After posting my site for many reviews people have told me to switch my black bacground site to a white background site. Well can you people tell me which one looks better and I will keep it.

for me, the white makes the site look bare, unfinished!
the black looks better, but dont like the rollovers with the red text -- a little basic, dont need to go overboard but some simple rollovers and rollouts would be nice

what about a mix of black and white -- white content, black backgrounds for the menu and header sections - what you think?

i know the question is black or white, but did you play with something inbetween? like a blueish grey or something? might make it more interesting than the white one, while not making the user depressive like in the black version.
