    Any Plasma TV Owners here?

I'm sure you've all seen them. Plasma TV's seem to be in now-a-days, and considering all the high tech gadget freaks around here, who has one/wants one?

    I know I do!

    The prices, though...

My neighbour has one... all i know is it's flawless when playing dvd's, his tv is 20 grand... 20,000 dollars

It's crap when playing tv (cause cable quality or lack there of shows up when its that big)

And its very very very heavy, surprising considering how thin it is.

I like the crt/lcd ones myself

To quote one 'Gloomycus', they're "so fresh and so clean."

Really, though, the space they save, the clarity of the picture, no glare... and they just look so DAMN TIGHT!

    Wow...

Always amazed at how over-priced some things are. The Pioneer screen is 43", High Def., and 25 grand.

This one is 60", High Def, and 10,000 dollars cheaper...

    $14,999.00

    You're neighbor was ripped off...

i'm sure there are some unfoseen features that makes that TV so expensive, although i would suspect that you are correct in your analysis of his being ripped off.

I think the pioneer one is a Mercedes, and you found a Honda, essentially they are the same but some over priced un important features make the price 10 grand higher.

I watch TV on my 15" laptop, no need for plasma.

after finally seeing the prices drop below 4k for them, I want one.

but I'm having a problem finding the 720p ones... keep finding the 480p instead... not as good... the Gateway 42" plasma is just a 480p piece as described... doesn't support HDTV out of the box either... ugh.

    Gotta have HDTV support.

I've got the Fujitsu 4222, its pretty cool but after a year it started getting a bit noisey. I think its cos the fans have to work harder when there is alot of white and brighter colors on screen, makes a louder buzzing noise.

Prices are coming down on Plasma's....When i bought mine it cost about £8000, ($12500 US) 12 months later its about half that just £4000

    I'm gonna wait for a while before i upgrade to a 50"

yummy plasma. i want a 50inch poineer, they seem to be having good reviews lately.

also i would want a denon 7.1 channel av reciever and hook it up with some b&w cm series, or 600 series 3's............now that would be perfect!
