321 Studios spammed me. I was interested by their proposition of their product.
I hope they win their lawsuit. Nothing would make me happier.

Yea well whatever they are doing must be working. I don't click on the crap, but Im sure a lot of people do, otherwise spam wouldn't be flooding people's inboxes all the time.
Kind of like the psychic network hotlines. Nobody I know would call them, but they end up making tons of cash from the idiots that do call.
Same goes for banner ads. If banner ads didn't work, then companies wouldn't pay to blast them all over the internet. Somebody is clicking on this crap, and its making the internet a pain for the rest of us.
-
If they email out 3 or 4 million spams and if only 1% respond they have made their bucks. Consider that it costs almost nothing to email this is why they do it.
Junk Mail works the same way. 90% of it goes straight to the landfill but it's that 1%-2% that buy that makes it worthwhile.

Titleless
I have never bought anything from it, although I have clicked on a few things that sounded interesting.
Banner Ads average about 1% click thru rate (although most sites that don't overdo it say they get around 4-5%). When the advertiser is paying per click they are really not loosing all that much.

Once or twice I have been interested (though most is ****) but not wanting to encourage them I generally view source and find out the URL without the tracing parts on the end!

If you're feeling inundated by e-mail at work and think the annoyance must be universal, you're wrong.
A new study from the Pew Internet and American Life Project finds that overwhelming levels of e-mail are quite atypical, an outcome that surprised even the researchers.
"All of the anecdotal evidence you hear from people out there is, 'I'm so overwhelmed by the volume of e-mail,'" said Deborah Fallows, a senior research fellow at Pew. "The perception comes from the people who are talking most loudly about it, those few who are most overwhelmed."
In fact 60 percent of Americans who use e-mail at work receive 10 or fewer messages on an average day, the study released Sunday found. Only 6 percent receive more than 50.

I have tried replying to some spam emails, hair re-growth products, mortgages, credit cards, sex aids and the usual stuff we buy on a daily basis. But they always bounce back saying the email address or recipient doesn't exist....... There's some thing fishy going on somewhere

They fake the mail headers in the document; put in made up return addresses and originating servers.
