The main point of a website is to get content straight across to the user - and if it looks good then that's a bonus. Whatever some of you are saying - my site does load very fast, no Loading signs - and it does look good: it is in the finals for a 2002 website award.

I could do Flash sites as good as an shown in the Featured section but I don't because Flash doesn't work on most machines (FACT) and very expensive (FACT) - I mean which everyday website user is going to buy an expensive package like Macromedia Flash just to see someone's animation on a website?

OK, it's been established, Flash comes with nearly every computer (95-98%, right now).
You say that you could design Flash sites as good as you've seen here on FlashKit? I think
it would be advisory that you do that: Your HTML design is beyond debatable.

You've also brought it to our attention that you have "5 years experience"...
5 years has not taught you to use the <TITLE> tag?

Your main picture (the one of Britain; a looping animated GIF, BTW) weighs a fat 51 k.
I have (not to boast) built whole Websites *in Flash* that weigh in at 60 or 70. OK, they
weren't high on content, but it's possible.
A generally good idea is to tell the visitors what the site offers, and what they do.
The top image on the splash page was just a bit dry, too, I remember.

A hint for your future endeavors: Maybe if you keep in mind the theme or identity
of the client you're designing for, it will help you to include and convey that to the audience.
There was no identity on the page you gave us.
    FYI :: DSL, IE 6, Win Me, 1280 x 1024

This thread is annoying me now, lets all forget all about this unfortunate "joke" and get back to what we all do best - giving good, helpful advice to the people who genuinley appreciate it.
We're all here to do what we're all here to do.

    Learn from this...

Here is a page I am currently working on. It only works in IE 6 at the moment, but I will be making a Flash version and adding scripts etc to make it work in all browsers of importance. I could not believe this post! Your site is aweful...

Sorry to dig this out but ...

He was, you read the second page of posts right.

I'm actually surprised it fooled people for as long as it had.
