GPensri, how about changing those mhtml to html? in some cases, it wouldn't make any difference. or maybe you want to post a couple of files so bdering can check them?

so sorry guys been talking on the phone to Australia, and got a little distracted. I sent the file to you sauvage to see where I was going wrong with this mhtml format. As I said the page opened up when I placed the java script in swish, but nothing came up on the screen. So that is when I looked at the powerpoint file and saw it was an mhtml format. Obviously you think I am a complete twat! and I don't blame you, but I am great at designing, and doing layouts, but have only been Swishing for a month. So I have done a crash course in this area, and although my clients are happy I am really just winging it!

PS Sauvage I sent you an email

    Hi Gina,

Not getting frustrated... Just getting worried that something was not going right and you had given up or hung yourself with your mouse cord or something....

I just want to help you get this together...

HAAAA I have you beat! I have a mouseless cord!!!!!!

How are you doing? If you want to e-mail your files to me, perhaps I can work on it. I believe sauvage is most likely wearing out his mouse by now... He has been awfully quiet....

I found the problem when saving I saved it as an archive file... done it again and it saved it as the html format you said you did bdering. Now let's try again...

Gina, no worry about no having the hang of it -- yet. We all have to start somewhere. In the beginning, I myself was totally lost, too. It's the few kind souls (Brian being one of them) that guided me. I am helping where I can now to pay back what I got. The thing that pisses me off is we get a fair amount of scum from the gutter here who do not have the courtesy to even acknowledge one's post, never mind to thank one. They merely slink away like stray mongrels in some dark alley somewhere. Or, has good manners gone out of fashion? Or maybe where they are, it is out of fashion?

p/s: i think i am one up there, Brian ha ha ha ha! i have a cordless mouseless - i use my fingers only ha ha ha ha!

    okay we are getting there...
now here comes another stupid question...
on the first line of the java script
    var url="filename.html"

where the file name goes, do I put C:\documents and settings\gina\desktop\mb presentation\presentation.html

as this is where the file is located, or is that too much information or just the wrong information??

    Sorry guys

    Gina,

You may want to do yourself a favor and run all your files from the same directory, that way you can use 'relative' links.

i don't think so. keep all your files in the same level (directory) so that you need to put in only the filename.

    ah, Brian has answered that.

p/s: btw, Gina, please reread our posts when you are free later. i have submitted two sets of guides, one for an ordinary popup; the other, a chromeless.

If everything exists in the same directory. Html files, SWF files, PNG files...all of it..... You need only reference the actual file name presentation.html . Not the entire path. Give that a shot...
