what would you like to see?????

Ok, first of all, i am running this discussion in several forums, not 'cause of spam, but i'd like to hear different opinions from different points of views. Coffee lounge is for general flash users.

The thing is this: some friends and I decided to make some money: how? developing some cool software. What? we have no idea. I want to convince them to make a nice swf tool. The issue is that we've been browsing and there's a lot of software or tools for flash and swf files: swf2avi, avi2swf, xml2swf, jpg2swf, swf for php, swfdraw and so on. Those are little tools that can help somehow to develop nice flash applications, but there are very few real tools (like swift 3d).

i luved php-ming, but i can't get to install it on my server

So, now I ask: what kind of tool, software, application, would you like to see developed from flashers to flashers. What is it that the flash designers need. I guess you don't need a 3d tool cause you got plasma and swift.....please tell me what else do you need, would you? maybe with some time, my team could develop something nice.

    Hope you answer.

Ooh snazzy new iDB footer mark.

I'd like to see a something like phpMyAdmin but for Flash - a tool with which you can create databases and backend structures for Flash more easily than now.
    hello.

anyway, maybe you know about http://sourceforge.net they hosts projects there. There are a lot about flash and swf files, i think there's one about flash for linux. I found two projects there: 'flounce' and 'the flame project'

i agree with mcpee and wout.

i havent given it much thought though, but off the top of my head, something to do with making video easier... being able to change parts of an image without the use or ps or fireworks... just simple things like adding effects etc.. erm... more control over music... maybe a program that allowed you to change music files on each frame of the timeline? giving special effects etc etc. and not having to use an external program like soundforge to do that...

just a bit of brain spilling on the screen for ya.

Ok, the thing which I think would make flash invaluable would be a swf/pdf...
there are a few steps toward it out there but i would like a way to make a swf (from freehand for example) which had all the functionality of a pdf...

sure you can do it by hand but it would make flash even stronger in its installed base if you could easily do this...
plus we would get rid of .pdf!

ok, sounds nice, but i didn't quite understand it.What funtionalities of a pdf? e-documents? workflow, make comments and bookmarks inside it. Security, so noone can edit your document??????

swf is and wont be secure i guess, but what else are you talkin about?
