    Site Check

I am working on a self promotion site and am looking for some feedback (self validation).

    http://members.rogers.com/derrickgrigg

The content is 100% XML/XSLT based so IE 6 is required.

I'm working on moving to PHP to parse the XML so it is more browser compatible but I'm first wanting to nail down the look and feel.

I have thick skin so please be honest.

    Thanks,

    Deker

    Deker -

I apologize, but I do not like your site. In my tastes it is plain, and lacks movement and power. It feels more like I am viewing a slightly enhanced directory. Something with a little more moxy like the top Nissan site you posted would be more along the lines of what I would look for.

Well, I know nothing of XML/XHTML....but I'll learn in the future (it's on my list of 10 programs/languages I need to learn).

The design is VERY VERY simple. It's not too engaging because of that.....nothing really draws you in, or makes you interested other then the tree-based hierarchy menu on the sides.

It loads fast; causes there's not much imagery...so if a fast loading website with just information is what you were looking for, it seems to fit the bill.

Try pushing the envelope though; that's always a crowd pleaser.
