Too Much Tweenage Showing

I'm working in Flash 5, and when I access the project's library I see the elements I'm using, as well as a whole bunch of graphic clips labeled TWEEN. What's their purpose and how can I minimize them from accumulating in my Library?

Its probably because you are tweening groups or texts without making them into a symbol first.
