[Resolved] preload and speed

need tuts or any advice on making my page more smooth and how a preloader works.

One reason can be some of your sprite inteacting directly with preloader.
anyow it would be much better if you post your swi file.
because there can be many reasons because of which it is not working.

sorry i cant post the swi or the swf. its for the air force. but from what i can see its got problems with a sprite which has over 100 frames of video time lapse in it. i cut each image down in file size with adobe and it helped some. i cant cut the pics down any more and keep the images looking good. i also took out 2/3rds of the images so far but its still loading really slow and lags on actions. i tried to take the sprite out with the video and it workes great, but i need that sprite in my movie. anybody?
