    cool serve man!

However, images should be under 100k, all the time, otherwise, link them instead with the the URL tag instead of using the IMG tag if they end up too much over 100k.

at that size, it should be very easy to stay under 100k...

    hey firefuze,

generally we don't provide psd's, just use the jpg (or whatever) that they post

you say " i haven't battled anyone at FK" - does that mean you've battled elsewhere? just wondering

anyhow, most battles go like this : one person serves. Other person takes the serve and makes their own volley, but you have to retain one visual portion... this could be the whole image blurred heaps to use as a background, it could just be one tiny part... your choice
the volley you make can be about anything - often themes seem to come out but it's really up to you. Once you're done, just save a jpg (or other) and post it here as an attachment or a direct link. Usually the idea is that you keep it under 100kb for the dialup users, if it *must* be bigger, link it and warn ppl abt the size.

sometimes people have other rules about how long return time should be (often 24-28 hrs) and whether or not you can rotate / resize the canvas. He hasn't specified so i guess it's your call :P

also, if you check the sticky thread in the Arena about images, it'll give you some sites to go to where you can get royalty-free images to use in volleys (my fave is webshots.com)

    think that's about it!
feel free to ask anymore questions.
also, if you look at some of the longer battle threads in the arena you can see some example battles... this one is a long running members V mods thread, which is of a high standard

    good luck with battling!

    Thanks,

I have only battled once or twice before but i've been using photoshop for a while now. I just was unsure how we would go around doing this here.
