    stopping pop-up blocking

    Has anyone got any javascript that will get around a firewall stopping you launching your Flash site in a new window? Can't seem to find any that will do the job.

    When used within Flash to launch a new window then it works fine but if in the HTML then it is blocked by the firewall, in my case Zone Alarm Pro.

    I have already tried these scripts:

    a href="javascript:window.open('flash26.html',new Date().getTime(),'width=600,height=450'); void(0);"

    AS WELL AS:

    function winopen(){
    var targeturl="flash26.html"
    newwin=window.open("","","scrollbars")
    if (document.all){
    newwin.moveTo(0,0)
    newwin.resizeTo(screen.width,screen.height)
    }
    newwin.location=targeturl
    }

    a href="javascript:void(0);" onClick="winopen();"

    Thanks for any help.

    Just notcied that the sites I got these scripts from have test versions of them and they work on their site as well as on my local computer but when I use these scripts live on my site they get blocked?

    Is it something to do with the way a server is set up?

    hi

    javascript only works user-side,because of this it's impossible, that you have a problem with the firewall of the server.
    i suppose it is a problem of your browser-settings...

    i'm not sure, but apparently it has to be so.

    It's the firewall I'm running on my home computer that stops the script.

    When I look at MY site with this javascript and with my firewall set to block pop-ups then it stops the pop-up working.

    When I look at the site that I got the javascript from that runs the same script then the pop-up works, even though I still have my firewall set to block the pop-up.

    What is going on?
