Easy there are only nine numbers your result can be. Take the seventies for example, 71 - 7 - 1 = 63, 72 - 7 - 2 = 63, 73 - 7 - 3 = 63. All the seventies end up with 63, eighties with 72, nineties with 81 etc. Each time the movie loads it gives these numbers all the same symbol, but a random symboil each time (if u see what I mean). upon clicking to see it guess that number, it shows you the symbol and suckers like you think its magic. The End

Life moves at 63 fps.
A number minus the sum of its digits is always a multiple of nine...
Simple math, really. Examples:
88-(8+8) = 72 = 9*8
902-(9+2) = 891 = 9*99
2178495-(2+1+7+8+4+9+5) = 2178459 = 9*242051
3-3 = 0 = 9*0

i don't see how it could give you the wrong answer at all.
as explained above ANY two digits numbers added together and subtracted from the original number will produce a product of 9. On their symbol chart all the products of 9 have the same symbol.
eg
78
7+8 = 15
78 - 15 = 63 - a product of 9.
it's a mathematical quirk, unless they're deliberately getting it wrong it will always work.

to explain would ruin a perfectly good joke.

if you're talking about the fact that you said 2+2=5 I saw that but didn't think you were trying to be funny.
