Hey guys, I'v just revamped my whole site, OvercastProductions it's now way simpler and has a very basic interface, i mean very basic, but i'm not looking to make it full of animations, i wanted to know your thoughts and to see if there's anything else that you think i could add.

Just a question:

Why did you make seperate pages for each links and used frames when you can just do it in one page and one flash file?

Might be my computer here at work but eveyrthing loaded sluggishly. I like the subtle button animation. I didn't like the font though. You just need to fix the navigation system cause I got stuck hitting the back button and then having to view the "op" over and over again. I noticed this on the Curriculum Vitae (however it's spelled) and the Portfolio. Other than that it is very simple and I thought the pictures were cool. I liked it overall but there are some tweaks needed.

I'm working on some preloaders at the moment.

to answer your question: i dont know how to do that yet. i think that it would be too big a file for users with slow internet to be bothered to wait for each page to load. If you have any tips on how to do this then please reply.

Also what did you think of it? Good looking or a minger?

I got so aggravated at the site that I closed it.
Please use Flash for the right reason.... not just to have some Flash on your site.

Here are some ideas:
- Use preloaders on flash, regardless the size.
- Separate the use of an intro to be the same SWF file as the Menu
- I don't know about the rest, I closed it waiting for the intro to play all over again.
- From what I seen from the design, it was well designed.

Please work on it more than 30 minutes.

The site isn't finished yet and as such is still being 'tweaked'.

And as i said in an earlier post, i dont know how to make it all on one html page at the moment but as soon as i do, it will be changed.

I am also new to flash but what I think everyone means is to make just one flash movie and have it change pages by going to another frame. So say the intro is frames 30-150 and the main page is from 160 to 280 and so on. So when you press on a button"say contact us" it goes to and plays frame 350-380. But like I said I am learning too. I also seen a site that uses frames to change pages, but you can't tell it is frames!!! Well hope it all goes well and keep flashin!!
