    3D animation question

I'm having a hard time trying to explain to people at work that Flash isn't a 3D animation program. I told them that you would have to use an outside program like Swift3D to do the animations. Then you would control those animations in Flash. Am I right in saying that?

Another question. What if the animation was done in LiteWave? How would use that in Flash?

We have a client who wants to animate this product of theirs in 3D to use in a presentation. The other people I work with think I could animate this in Flash.

I'm not sure what to do here.

flash does not have compatibility with 3d, you need a program that can render this into swf or whatever to make it a series of 2d frames..then bring that into flash and control it from there

    best choice is swift 3d

i'd say "yeah i can do it but i need $5K worth of software to do it". that way you get a whole pile of great software to play with! if that's not gonna work then over at macromedia they like to mention it's not a 3d program all the time.
