    size of swf too large

i tried the tutorial offered at http://www.discreet.com/products/plasma/tutorial.html

i have been having problems decreasing the size of my swf file, the size of the file is 1.3m.

any suggestions on how to optimize or decrease the size of the swf file after rendering?

    thanks in advance.

    swf size reduction

    Hi madizm,

What rendering settings are you using? If you set Fills to linear the animation looks nice but the swf file can become quite large. Imported into Flash, a squenced bmp file can actually be smaller than a linear filled vector file.

I have used Optimaze with some success to create a smaller swf file and still keep it looking good. A reduction of 20% to 30% is reasonable on a swf file with a lot of curves in the Flash movie. Just a note, Optimaze will not compress the images imported into a Flash movie.

If anyone has other suggestions I'd be glad to hear about them too.

    Hope this helps.
