changing the rotation point

there is a center point for movie clips for rotations...they can be changed by editing the movie clips yet I want to know if they can changed by scripting so that during a movie play, user can change the rotation point by clicking on the rotating object.

There's no actual way of scripting what you said, although you can easily overcome this difficulty by making the drawing inside the mc, an mc. so its an mc in an mc. you can then target the higher level mc and change its x and y pos

Yes, I think putting the mc into a parent. Rotate the parent and change mc position to achieve what you want would be a convenient way.

Theorectically we still can use script to do it. It needs some MATH.
