I have a movie with a background sound effect, and whenever i click a button that makes it go back in the timeline, it starts the sound over again. Am I doing anything wrong or any ideas what could be causing this?

hey you you go back in the time line then every thing in the time line will start all over again !! including sound .

why don't you just put the loop in a movieclip? then it would have its own timeline and you wouldn't have to worry about it

The loop was in a movieclip, but i was able to fix the problem by starting the sound on the second frame of the clip. The buttons that were creating the sound had nothing to do with the only movie clip that was supposed to play it. Oh well, somehow moving the frames fixed it.
