    hi there,

please take a look at my portfolio site. I've just finished the latest update and could use some detailed feedback.

    any suggestions are appreciated.

I like the navagation, easy and filling. Looks good, I like the main entry pics with ethe light effects. It seems a little plain around the edges, I look at your websites in the portfolio section and they are awsome, great design, contemp with style. Maybe just spice up the perimeter a liitle.

hi, i think this is a very nice site.
and its my favourite site ive seen this week.

at last a flash site that doesnt blast music at you

i like the layout, and i like the little add-ons such as clock etc... even though they are useless (as i have a watch and a pc clock) they are still cool to look at... i dont think it harms most sites to have a couple of bits here and there.

the thing i didnt like though was the sharpness of the site... i think thats what im trying to say...
basically when you rollover the navigation, the nav buttons just appear. maybe look at having them blend in? still almost instantly. but just so there is a slight smoothness to the navgation.

also, when you click on the buttons the first time, the main nav system just suddenly appears...
maybe look at www.bestdressedkids.com for an idea as to how to use masks to bring in the navigation window.

i think something simple like that could look effective on your site.

if you keep the pop up message at the end i would change it.
mcmultimedia says goodbye is a bit cheesy lol.

then again so is saying 'have a nice day'

    just a few thoughts.

mostly though id look at making the navigation a bit smoother...

a nice portfolio you have there btw

    spotted a couple more things.

the videos dont stream very smoothly (but that may be my end)

and when i click a link in your portfolio it takes me out of your site and into the one i clicked on... surely blank windows would be better than the parent?
it means i have to reload your entire website again otherwise.

other than that i dont think there are any other errors mate.

Gloomycus -- working on something special for the bottom section, enjoying the free space at the moment

I agree with the comments here... nice design, great sites in your portfolio.

Found a typo - in CD-ROM development, paragraph 3. Should be 'MC is an expert in...', I think...

    hiya,

the nav looks and feels a lot better like that....
    but,

    always a but

open up the site, then click on about...
it just suddenly appears... maybe try and smoothen that up a bit?
you can make some great effects with a mask layer.. have that load above the navigation then it can disapear...

so for example, when you click one of the buttons, it loads the navigation, but at the same time loads in a movie above the navigation with a smooth mask effect, that then unloads revealing the main nav nice and smoothly..

just an idea that i havent put much thought into, but an idea you could play with.

i also think you should change the goodbye message... it seems really cheezy... just that goodbye! bit sounds really bad lol.

    hope some of this helps.

great look...i liked the image you used on the splash page...the only thing that i can think is wrong with it is the empty space at the bottom...the design is smooth and the navigation lets the site flow from section to section...

also if you could where you got the script for that clock you have in one of the sections...

    great site mate,

i feel obliged to give u some feedback after ur excellent comments on my site.

i would take out the girl picking up the telephone on the contacts page, looks a bit too compressed and doesnt really enhance the site in any way. Though i like the movie on the home page.

And that goodbye message also doesnt really appeal ...i think somebody already pointed that out.

Otherwise nice one, keep it up!

    p.s i like the clock.

flashkitty1224 -- tnx for pointing that out
    tronstad -- cheers m8!
Onionboy -- working on a nice mask effect
republicmedia -- space there to be filled / image by www.daisydylanwatson.co.uk part payment for web work
    chrispallaris -- tnx

Will be putting up a streaming option for the videos in flash, cut out the need for external players

Sorry buddy - but honestly this site doesnt do it for me.

Its plain and lacks creativity. Sometimes thats good, but you really dont have any show of superior flash skill here. And no artistic skill either i think. Your porfolio sites all reflect your site way to much right down to the menu switching (which i find too simple and untasty).

Sorry dog - thats just me.

    i like it
the simple design is pleasing on the eye and the ergonomics are spot on.
I also like the use of video even though it’s bit compressed looking.
I love the transitions, how did you do that?

All in all a great job
Don’t be surprised if you see some of your ideas on my site

    mbt -- tnx!
    onionboy -- changed to 'thanks'

VIDEOS ALL SHOULD BE WORKING NOW IN FLASH -- no external programmes.

can people tell me if they're working ?

    Cheers
