    !! Tiling makes me wanna die !! Iso map

    hi,
    sorry for the new thread but i finished my room and need again some help with the tiling issue.

    the fla of my room is here:

    room.fla

    . its a working example of the book:
    flash mx game design demystified.

    i inserted my graphics, but the depth issue is killing.

    so i have to tile the graphics to manage it.

    look into the fla, you´ll see what i ask for.

    i have to tile the wall so that it fits into the objects movieclip. but i think i´m too dumm to do it.

    can you pleas tile two tiles for me and place it on the floor?
    the placement is done in the main time line , 1st frame , AS (makeobject)
    i´m into this for weeks and don´t know how the tiling is done.

    hi bullys2003,

    I took a look at your .fla and I'm having a hard time understanding what you are trying to do. I saw your three tiles and I honestly think you need to go into Photoshop or whatever prog you use and cut those up in order for them to tile properly.

    Depending on the grid size you decide to use you should create a mock up of the grid and use it as a template for your tiles. It will help a ton. I'd draw up an example for you but I'm pretty busy at work and only reply when I'm between renders.

    I'll check back in later.

    that would be too nice !!

    thats what i dont know: how to create a mock up of the grid?
    the tile is 30 px.

    if the tiles were like this: it would be easy.

    But the grid is isometric like this:

    and so i dont know how to tile the image like this.

    Here's an easy way to do that. Since your .fla has a tile MC in it already that is at the exact size you are using, run a test and hit your Print Screen key. Open up Photoshop or whatever, and paste. Then just outline that tile and use the outline as your template for creating your tiles. Viola, should be simple enough.

    spacebar = actions (i.e open door)
    control = pickup
    i = inventory
    arrows = move
