Does Flix Support the creation of subtitles

Or is this only supported in the Linx version? If only found in Linx version can this be run on a windows (2000) platform?

    Hi.
Flix is not designed to add subtitles automatically. You can use the overlay feature to add some text, but it will be in bitmap form, which is not optimal for the .swf format.
Linx can add subtitles, if you have a text generator like SWfX.
Linx works on all Windows platforms, including Win 2K.

    Hi Jonathan
As a newbie to this could you explain why I need a seperate text generator like swfx. If this is due to the fact that I need a seperate text .swf, will a "news ticker" that is downloaded from the movies section be adequate?

    Hi.
    Flix encodes Flash video.
Linx will import Flash video and let you move, scale, crop and position the video, as well as add additional SWFs, images and audio. However, Linx does not generate text, so you need to get the text from somewhere. As long as you have text, you're alright. It's always best, however, to use text that is in the Flash vector format - as opposed to a bitmap based image - because that text will be cleaner, easier to read, and can scale to any size.

Got that. I've now downloaded the demo but it does not seem that obvious how to add a subtitles. I would like to operate in the form of a tele-prompter to cordinate with the timimg of the video speech.

This is probably asking too much but is there a laymans tutorial that explains how to do this.

    Hi.
Check out the tutorials at www.wildform.com/tutorials
There isn't one specifically on subtitling, but there are several that deal with adding text.
