I'm working on a flash presentation for CD-Rom and i have some videofiles which need to be embed.
After I tried it just with Flash Mx I wasn't very satisfied with the quality so i tried Flix. The quality is much better, but i still have one problem.
When I encode the video (wmv and mpg) it seems to be alright, but when there's a silent part and the sound comes back somehow the sound drops a bit before it continues on the full volume and quality.
Is there a solution for this because it's making me mad!! My deadline is tomorrow, so i hope somebody has a short term solution for me.
Hi.
Which version of Flix are you using? Are you using a demo or a full, paid version?
Can you post a link to the videos you are describing? Also can you post a sample of the source video for me to download.

Grootjes.
I'm not sure what is causing that problem.
It could be the specific combination of audio sampling rate and bitrate, or it could be that you have "stereo" set (which doesn't work well for certain files depending on the settings). I just encoded that file with Flix Pro 3.2 and it sounds fine, but since I don't know what settings you used I don't know if it's because I'm using Flix Pro 3.2 or that I'm using different settings than the ones you used.
When you try encoding again try this:
-First try Flix Pro 3.2.
-If that doesn't immediately fix the problem, then try encoding it without stereo.
-If that doesn't work try playing with the audio sampling rate and bitrate. Sometimes there can be a conflict between the source settings and the output settings.
Let me know how it goes.
