    removing sound from an mpeg clip

    i have a flash movie i am making in which i have a few mpegs imported, the mpegs have sound which i want removed.

    i have imported the music file which plays through the movie but they mpeg sounds and the bg music overlaps, this is why i want to remove the mpeg sounds

    please help

    i'm not sure which version of flash does this as well, but in flashMX, right after you 'import' an mpeg, a dialog box comes out with the title 'import video settings.

    here, towards bottom of the dialog box, is an option to 'import audio'. UNcheck this option, and your imported mpeg won't have any sound in flash. lemme know if it works. coz if it doesnt, i've got a slightly painful method to get rid of that pesky audio...

    when you say "mpegs" are you refering to MP3 or video?
