ok now that this-See above post- is out of my system, IMHO here's what's wrong with the matrix reloaded.
the whole plot was resolved in the first part, OK so no one dies, Neo realizes the truth od the world we live in, and now he can interact with it, and bend it to his will-Flying, blowing away agents from the inside...etc- so what is the threat in Matrix Reloaded, mainly the machines burrowing in the ground to find Zion, EMP's anyone, they are cold, they are strong, they'll kill all machines within radius.
so what's the point??
why would they fight agents, if they can simply freeze them in mid air, like bullets??
I don't think I'll watch this one in theaters, I'll wait for it to hit the national TV

Thats a shame... she was one of the better actors. RIP.
Do you think they'll replace her? Or just CG her?

hehe the key maker was the funniest poor little guy! He was thrown about so much and then just 'disposed of'.
I thought that monica person with the brown hair was supposed to be in it alot more than that. In magazines etc they were talking as though she had a huge role in it!!

Not sure if she's a permanent replacement, but there's a new actress playing the oracle in the game Enter the Matrix, complete with an explanation of the change in appearance. The explanation was a bit cheesy but the actress portrayed the character well.

Am I right in saying that Trinity was an 'assassin' and Morpheus was a 'captain'? As in, there was each of these on each ship?
If so, what were Mouse, Tank, Link, etc in relation to the ship - Navigator, Battyboy, what??

I have to agree with you -- I thought she was hot in the first Matrix movie but there is something about her that is not right.
Niobe is hot, yes. Who is zee though? :/

Yes I'm in agreement about Carrie. Only I don't really like Jada either. Nona is pretty attractive. Nona Gaye plays the part originally slated for Aaliyah. Now she was attractive.

An Inconvenient Serving Size
I only read about 5 pages of this thread, so maybe someone's already brought this up, but I think that what the brothers did in making this flick was figure which were the most popular, talked-about parts of the first movie, then they took these and stretched these parts out to cover two and a half hours. This is why you end up with what seems to be an endless kung-fu fight scene, that, when dissected, ends up being filler for the real story going on around it. If I wanted to see endless, pointless, no-one-gets-hurt-even-after-being-hit-in-the-face-15-times-kung-fu, I'd go and see a Jett Li or a Jackie Chan flick.
If they'd had the balls, this flick could've been edited down to approx. 90 minutes, and been a leaner, meaner version of itself than the bloated mess that's doing the rounds now.
Best part? Neo and the Architect talking to each other. Finally, part of a movie that strains the brain with something other than mind-blowing effects. I feel bad for the Brazilians en-masse, though, 'cause the subtitles were nothing short of crap, childish work-arounds for the pretty sophisticated concepts and language, and to a one, everyone came out of the movie asking what the hell just happened.
So a big BOOOO to the subtitle people.
Stand by for emergency synapse rerouting

I liked the movie, yes it had some flaws which have been mentioned in these threads but what I want to know is why the filmmakers insist on spreading out one story over two or three films (LOTR), I would like to say the ending was good or bad especially after paying for me and my missus to go. But instead im going to have to pay more just to see the end of the story!

I agree, the Architect scene was really cool. And a news flash for you, everyone came out of theatre asking what the hell just happened. If this movie has shown us anything it is that Hollywood shouldn't attempt to mix summer blockbuster with a thought-provoking plot. The two just didn't seem to go over well with people this time around. Just head on over the database and see all the negative comments about Reloaded. It's a shame that people have had this reaction en masse, nevertheless, they did.
