I'm not pointing the finger at anyone, just at the idea that in these threads, we seem to have <= Elance.

I hate that. I wish all bidding would be done in private.

Frankly, I like listings in the Boardroom.

And of course, there's no reason why one member should not recommend another, especially if they have had good work done by them in the past.

There's nothing inherently wrong with this thread, it's just the tone that sets my teeth on edge. Any sweeter, and be off to the dentist to have a cavity filled. Guess I just don't like promotion for it's own benefit, which seems to be what's going on here.
